The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has uncovered that its individuals are in counsel over the proposition the government made to them.

ASUU National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said individuals are making meetings with respect to their next line of activity.

Ogunyemi clarified that the counsel would go beyond this week.

Following a progression of meetings between ASUU administration and the government, the Labor Minister, Chris Ngige had guaranteed that administration would pay all retained compensations of lecturers.

The Federal government likewise vowed to deliver N75 billion for the revitalisation of universities and the installment of Earned Academic Allowances.

Nonetheless, Ogunyemi told Vanguard: “We have what the government is offering and have sent the equivalent to our individuals cross country, and we are counseling on what the following line of activity will be.

“Concerning what amount of time the discussion would require, I can’t state, yet it might go past this week. Whatever we choose will be in the public interest, the interest of our kids, the interest of our individuals and the benefit of all.”
